Runs small but works well. Looks better than disposable ones
We bought 12 month for our 6 month old and they fit perfectly. The sizes really do run small. She has pretty chunky thighs and these are a little tight around them. We have not had any issues with them leaking, holding excessive water, or poop. They wash up nice and look much better under a bathing suit than the disposable ones.

Fit big but they work great.
Love it. Got it when our toddler was in a size 4 diaper and it was a bit big, She’s a 5 now and it fits better, wish the elastic was a bit tighter, but we put it on under her suit and it holds everything together. The disposable fit better, but a pain to lug around and store. I should disclose we only go to the beach or river, if they were to leak and she’s in the water we’d never know. So far no leaking out of water.

Leak tested! Mom approved :)
Sizing info: My son has a skinny build, 20lbs, currently wearing between a size 12mo/18mo in clothing and would be a size 3 in Pampers diapers. We bought a size 18mo. and it fit great with some room to grow. Alright, this swimming season we have officially tried and tested out three different swim diapers. We use cloth diapers normally so I figured it would make sense to use the equivalent as a swim diaper- rather than waste money on disposables. Besides, for some reason disposable swim diapers just kind of gross me out. In terms of being put to the test- this particular one got the... um... most thorough test. Let's just say I can assure you that this will hold in #2. And oh what a treat *that* was to change. We were at a waterpark. In the crowded bathroom. BE PREPARED for the very real possibility that you will be stuck in a public bathroom with a huge mess to clean up. Thankfully, there was a sink inside the stall with a changing table and thankfully the issue was resolved without too much drama (thank you Type-A packing tendencies...) but I hadn't really fully thought ahead what it would be like without my trusty diaper sprayer... Anyway, so yes, rest assured that this diaper will hold in the messiest of messes- though obviously at first sight (sniff?) you should take care of it. I will say also that this was a step up form the original iPlay swim diaper where there were not snaps. The two snaps made it SO much easier to peel the diaper off a wet wiggly baby. Especially in times when one must peel the diaper from a wet wiggly baby as delicately as one can. Very easy to launder, stains came out nicely, and so far these are holding up great. The other brand I ended up getting was the Storeofbaby 2pcs Baby Swim Diapers Leakproof Reusable Adjustable Infant 0 3 Years (Pack of 2) and although I LOVE that it will last longer because the size is adjustable, the TONS of snaps were a drawback since they made getting the diaper on/off that much more difficult. So- depending on whether you prefer an easier time NOW or a product that will last you through the whole diaper stage- I would recommend one or the other.

great swim diaper!
I have used these for previous babies, they are great! Although it is not necessary to put a disposable swim diaper under them, I sometimes do, if I'm expecting my daughter to poop soon. The leg holes are meant to be tight to prevent leaks, my 10 month old daughter who wears 12 month and 12-18 month clothing has almost outgrown the 18 month (Large) size of these. I have noticed that some colors and styles fit differently, as well. The side snaps are very convenient, and I'm not sure that I'd be able to pull it up over her thighs without them.

Love these! I had a previous pair that I've used for 3 of my children--they are stil going strong and being sed by a cousin now. Ordered this in the next size up for my almost 2 year old and they are fantastic and public pool approved. Love the side snaps for ease of taking off if they get soiled. Love not having to buy disposable swimmers that fall apart and wind up wasted. Love having two so we can hang one to dry and rotate between the two for back to back swimming days during the summer.

Really great replacement for those swimming diapers!
These really were great! My 2 year old just started potty training and we went on vacation. There was an "incident" and a pretty messy one at that, and everything remained in place. No embaressment, the pool area remained clean!

Love these! Buy them every summer!
I love these resuable swim diapers, I have purchased several different brands. I love that these have the snaps as it is very helpful when DD poops in them. That being said the purpose of the swim diaper is to hold in poop, not pee. So, if you place this on your child prior to arriving at your destination, it will leak. These dry quickly and are easy to wash. I wish that the two pack had two cute ruffle bottoms(a little extra girly), but at least the white goes with any and every top.

The button ones run smaller than without buttons.
These run smaller than the ones without buttons. Got a 24 month without buttons in store and needed to return as it was too big for my almost 2 year old. However after reading reviews about sizes, I still went with the 24 month in these and they fit my child great. Excited to see how they work. Definitely tired of getting peed on when sitting with a toddler at the pool or beach.

Great for swimming and potty training!
As someone who prefers cloth diapers, I sought out a reusable swim diaper for my daughter when she was a baby. They worked great as a swim diaper, but I love them even more as "training underwear." My daughter does really well using the potty for pee but hasn't quite caught on with poops. Luckily, this diaper holds the poop in really well for those accidents. It holds in small pee accidents well too, especially compared to cloth training underwear. As far as sizing, I would say using the weight range is pretty accurate -- you might need a smaller size than you think (ex. my daughter fits the x-large/18-24 mo. size perfectly).

Cute, fits well
I bought this set for my 7-month-old daughter, along with a coordinating rash guard. She's about 16-17 lbs, and the Medium fits perfectly, so if your baby is between sizes, I'd recommend sizing up. She seems comfortable in the diaper, and looks adorable. The snaps on the side make it easy to take off, but I've found it's easier to put on if everything is snapped up first. We haven't had any messes yet, so I can't tell you how well it holds everything in, but I'll update my review if I have opportunity.
