So far it's wonderful, I installed it myself and comparing it to the unit I removed the quality of this unit is far superior as is the performance -- but then again so was the price tag.

Best dishwasher ever. Quiet and really cleans the dishes.

Within 12 hours of having this dishwasher installed, I almost ripped it out of my kitchen. The end of cycle beeping overshadowed everything else about the product and the lack of help from the manual (no mention), the Bosch help line (no help), and Bosch email (no response) only made things worse. After hours of hunting online, I found this thread - https://www.amazon.com/ask/answer/Mx135R9CCNTDSXC/ref=ask_aa_al_sa_hza - which led to the following solution... To enter the options mode: Door must be open. Press the "ON/OFF" button to turn the unit on. One of the Wash Cycle LEDs will be flashing. Press and hold down the ">" button, then press and release the "START/RESET" button. Now release the ">" button. The "Clean" and one other LED will be flashing. You are now in the options setup mode. Press ">" until the "Clean" , "Sanitized" , and "Rinse Agent" LEDs are flashing. Press the "<" button to change the cycle completion tone level. The wash cycle LEDs will illuminate when you press "<". 0 LEDs flashing --> Cycle Completion Signal is OFF 1 LED flashing --> Low tone level 2 LEDs flashing --> Medium tone level 3 LEDs flashing --> Highest tone level Press START to save your settings. Make sure you get model number SHX3AR75UC or similar that has fold down tines on both the top and bottom racks. We’ve only had the Bosch for about two weeks, but the ability to convert the racks makes this machine perfect. Some reviewers have noted that the bottom rack was designed by a mad scientist; that the tines are too close together and go every which direction. Yes, some of them are closer together than your mother’s dishwasher, but not all and that’s good, especially when you use a lot of smaller plates and the two directional pattern allows more flexibility. Fold down tines on the bottom are a must because I don’t think dishwasher racks were ever laid out for skillets, because, well you wash them by hand, right? Not since Teflon stopped flaking off! So, you can lay a 10” – 12” skillet down in the bottom and still have room for plenty of plates. The moderately priced Bosch models are Consumer Reports check rated for 2014 and don’t get sucked in to trading up. A few features that don’t make sense: Adjustable top rack – mine doesn’t have it and it fits tall glasses and pitchers on the bottom. Third rack for silverware – if you have household help or want to teach neatness to the kids get this option; otherwise who has the time to lay each piece in an individual slot. Light shines on the floor when wash is done – this is a flaw with a lot of machines with hidden controls. There should be a small LED on the front indicating end of cycle. Water softener – if you really have that problem, get a whole house unit. Stainless steel bottom – not necessary and I don’t notice the bottom any how. One gripe; programming was designed by the aforementioned mad scientist and the manual for the SHX3AR75UC and others according to web blogs is mis-stated. The procedure for programming calls for noticing 0, 1, 2 or 3 blinking lights - pick one to select your desired option, and it doesn’t state what lights will blink. It’s the wash cycle lights and they remain steady, not blinking, so one solid light is option one, etc.

Pros: -- So quiet you don't hear it even if you're in the same room. Having a Bosch is like getting another room in your house. -- Cleaning is amazing if you use the right detergent for your water and your water isn't too hard. Finish Tabs work extremely well for us. -- Efficiency is phenomenal. Uses extremely little water and electricity so over the life of the dishwasher it will save you a few bucks. Cons: -- You have to use good quality detergent. If your detergent is poor quality I think the problems are magnified in the Bosch because it uses so little water. -- Racks are odd and take some getting used to. They have good features but I like American style racks better. -- There is no dry cycle. So dishes (especially plastics) can be a little wet when you take them out. That, along with 2 hour cycles is the price you pay for ultra energy efficiency (the dishwasher only uses about $20 worth of electricity in a YEAR). Everyone should know: If you want ultra-quiet, the price you pay will be long cycles because the dishwasher is running at lower water pressure. The faster the dishwasher, the louder it is going to be. So I suppose speed versus noise is the tradeoff you should be aware of when you buy the dishwasher. If you want quiet Bosch is a great choice. Though there are other good choices as well.

I would of liked if there was a light that stayed on to show that the machine is functioning

SO QUIET AND CLEANS GREAT

CR Best Buy and it shows.

Easy to install and very quiet. I like the range of wash selections. The only thing that I find a bit frustrating is the assumption I will be using a rinse aid and the light that indicates I didn't add it.
