While babysitting for kids (while they were out of town) I purchased this and 2 gate systems for their '70's built 2 story condo. Code allowed stair uprights to be 10'+ inches apart, REALLY!!? I lost sleep over this (having only raised a boy) miraculously, the crawling baby girl was successfully kept off the stairs mostly. My kids won't allow granny to buy anything w/o their approval (it's a small home). They agreed this clear mesh would keep her safe on the landing, but after they departed, I went ahead and installed it all the way down the stairs on a cut to size diagonal in one long continuous "sheet" (edge had a 2' to 14' drop between the uprights). I did purchase clear, bigger zip ties at Home Depot, you also need decent scissors, a tape measure, and a box cutter is helpful too. Although my son wasn't too happy that I had done so "without approval" it was left in place and a couple months later saved toddler (who is now going up and down stairs alone) from falling through. While pretty easy to cut to size and install, it is a bit time-consuming. Grateful granny.

I love this item! This is the second time I've ordered (the plastic will get brittle after a year+ outdoors.) We've used at home on a high deck and on vacation on the balcony. The zip-ties make it very easy to use. I wish it was just a little bit longer, but overall a great product. It really makes me feel a lot safer having little kids on the balcony . We could actually all hang out without worrying that the toddler was going to fall through the balcony slats.

Great = we used to make sure our 8-week old puppy couldn't squeeze thru or under the rails, and she definitely would have if we didn't use this.easy to install, may need a second person for a bit to hold tight to rail while getting a couple of ties on, but after that all set doing the rest of the ties on your own if you need to. Came with plant of long ties but I would recommend a second set of ties - the smaller ones - they can be used for the inner rails, saving the larger ones for posts. And there may be times you put three long ties together to get around a larger corner post and for tying from underneath - We needed to go all the way to the deck floor, because she would squeeze underneath the bottom rail. No worries we just went under the deck and popped a few ties from underneath to hold it down firm. Would definitely buy again.

Attached to my patio my fence with cable ties (included) to keep my small dog from going through.

Installed this in a couple hours going all around my 2 apartment patios - Boston Terrier proofed the place and it was easy peasy. You can barely tell its there, which is key to me and its super easy to cut to your specific needs. Would definitely recommend it for doggie proofing but you will need lots of extra zip ties if you zip it on each poster, like I did. Better to source these ones from Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01MRD0JRR/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_21 as they're thinner and it makes them less noticeable, again - if you want an clean look. I got 300 ties in total and it was just enough for my two decks. I have some leftover deck guard and will probably repurpose it for crafting or gardening ;)

It is perfect. very easy to install and comes with a bag of zip-ties. It does not block the view and it is barley noticeable from the outside. My cat no longer can get her head through the railing.

I live in a 3rd floor apartment so I bought this to cover the railings on my balcony to keep my puppy safe. You can't even see it from the street below - it is very transparent. It also isn't very noticeable from inside the house (as shown in my photo). I've had it up for about 3 months now and it's been wonderful. It is super strong and holds up when my puppy jumps against it.

We have a dog, cat and two toddlers. I researched all available safety options for our 6th floor NYC balcony and decided on this. One year later, this is the fifth time I'm buying this product: we used it for a year before our balcony was redone. I like it because it's not opaque, which other alternatives were (e.g. fencing) so it allows light in and maintains any vista you have. I also like this solution because it's nimble. The cable ties allow you to secure the netting loosely (use fewer) or quite taught (use more). For me, I actually overlap the netting so that the balcony has a double layer. Though this is not necessary, the product is reasonably priced enough that doing so wasn't cost prohibitive. I also purchased additional cable ties so that the netting could be secured very tightly. Please note that this was my preference: the single layer of netting with the cable ties included in the box are absolutely sufficient in providing an easy to set-up safety solution. I read another reviewer's comment that her daughter cut herself on this product and I can understand how this happened: the product, while not sharp, does have ends that are plastic. I spent a lot of time (<10 minutes) cutting these edges off. I was willing to invest this time as a precaution and would recommend that others do too to avoid unnecessary cuts for adults or kids. This product also held its own in months of direct sunshine, rain, wind and even snow.

Very happy with this netting. I was debating a few different options to go on my wrought iron railing in my living room. Of course I want my child to be safe at all costs, but also wanted something that looked nice. I'm all about safety, but I like things to look nice and clean too. So I got this netting. It's easy to cut to whatever size you need it to be. Then to match the railing, I got a can of black spray paint for plastics. It came out great. So if you're looking for something that you can cut to fit and even paint to match. Then this is your choice. I attached photos of the finished product.

This product went up easily and is good as well as sturdy. Wish it was truly more clear as you can still see it even at a distance (kind of). Has more of a clear whitish look to it. Doesn't look the best off our balcony in an association, but who cares as it's meant to provide safety. We ended up adding a 2 by 8 or 2 by 4 piece of wood at bottom of balcony so we could attach netting with staples to wood so little one couldn't get out from under it. Otherwise there was a gap. It depends on base of your balcony whether there would be a gap, as ours had a stone base thing that did t make it quite flush. We used zip ties to secure rest of it. Keep in mind, with some railing poland boxes with vines, you can kind of camaflague it. Still, it does not look too bad and frankly I think that nobody notices it but us. It only took about 20 minutes to put up, plus some extra time for the extra wood beam we added. The bottom line as this product is a no- brainier to buy and a must have in my view to get if you have little ones and need to secure railing. We covered a 9 ft balcony and still had extra. Surprised this company does not do local commercials so more people knew about product, I only found it from searching online and came across it on Amazon. I see too many dangerous balconys where it would be beneficial for parents with little ones. Ads might increase demand for product since it is a needed product in my view.
